It's 30 sleeps until.......

.....the CrossFit Open 2019 kicks off.

Have you signed up? What are your goals? Are you prepared? Have you worked on your weaknesses from last year? Is this your first Open? Are you reading this asking "What is the Open?!"

Well, the CrossFit Open is a chance for everyone (yes, EVERYONE) to test their fitness, against themselves.

These words, from the CrossFit Games site, basically tell you all you need to know:

"The 2019 Reebok CrossFit Games Open is the largest fitness competition on Earth and an exciting showcase of the CrossFit community. Here, athletes like you, from all around the world, show up and push themselves further than they ever thought possible over a five-week period. Challenges, PRs and the unknown await. Are you ready?"

Each Friday of the Open at CrossFit Aberdeen, we'll host a fitness party like no other! #FridayNightLights ... Music, lights, fitness, friends and beers! What else do you need on a Friday night? Or, ever?

If it's your first ever Open, get stuck in - there's a scaled and Rx division, as well as Masters' categories - just soak up the atmosphere, throw down with buddies, and see where the WoDs take you (or where YOU take THEM!)

If you've taken part before, what have you worked on this past year to take yourself to new levels? Maybe you're not even aware of it yet.

All I know, is that it's my favourite time of year at the gym, there's a buzz like no other, and a chance to congregate and socialise and really bring the community together. EVERY year we watch every athlete who takes part push themselves beyond their means, and achieve something they didn't think possible.

How do I get involved, you said? Take yourself right over here: https://open.crossfit.com/english

Have a chat with any of the trainers at the gym for more information, we'll talk you into it!

Calling all judges!
If you're keen to help judge, you’ll need to complete the 2019 judges course found here: https://oc.crossfit.com/course?id=21 and speak to one of our trainers!
